5th Annual Sew a Jelly Roll Day
Grab a jelly roll—or raid your stash—and join us for our 5th Annual Sew a Jelly Roll Day! We’ll be sewing Moda’s free Labyrinth pattern, enjoying a lively day together, and competing for Cactus Quilt Shop gift certificates.
Prizes
The first three participants to finish their quilt tops will win:
- First place: $50 Cactus Quilt Shop gift certificate
- Second place: $25 Cactus Quilt Shop gift certificate
- Third place: $10 Cactus Quilt Shop gift certificate
If three quilt tops are not completed by 3:00 PM, prizes will go to the three participants who have completed the most rows.
What You’ll Need
- One jelly roll containing at least 36 strips
- 1¾ yards of background fabric
- Sewing machine
- Basic sewing supplies
Want to sew from your stash? Cut at least 36 strips measuring 2½ inches by width of fabric (WOF) and choose 1¾ yards of coordinating background fabric.
Come Ready to Sew!
If you would like to compete for the gift certificates, please arrive with all advance cutting completed. Pre-cutting instructions will be available on our website so you can prepare before the event.
We’ll provide simple instructions at the beginning of the day and will be available to answer questions throughout the event. Each participant will also receive a small candy cup for a little mid-seam energy boost!
Participants are welcome to bring drinks and snacks—and something to share, if they wish.
Registered-Participant Discount
Registered participants receive 10% off one jelly roll and the coordinating background fabric purchased from Cactus Quilt Shop for this event. Purchasing fabric from Cactus Quilt Shop is not required; stash-busting is absolutely welcome! We are ordering in extra jelly rolls for this event!
The free Moda Labyrinth pattern will be provided on the day of the event.
Space is limited, so register early, prepare your fabric, and get ready to roll!
A Quick Note About Class Supplies: Your class fee covers instruction only—supplies are sold separately. You’ll receive a supply list by email outlining what you’ll need for class. 🌟Many of the items will be available at Cactus Quilt Shop, and registered students receive 10% off all class-related purchases after signing up!
Class Cancellation Policy: We get it—plans change. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days before your class for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance are non-refundable.If you're feeling ill on the day of class, please call the shop before class begins. We care about the health of our quilting community and will gladly issue a store credit so you can join us when you’re well.
