Nancy's Corner , or .  .  .  As the Needle Turns!

Summer in the South West already! The temperature outside may be rising, but we have some Cool projects planned to keep your mind on other more pleasant topics. Check out the wonderful new classes we have including several 1930’s inspired quilts, a baby quilt in batiks and a Christmas quilt!
Summer also means Summer Hours at Cactus Quilt Shop. Once again, starting after Memorial Day, (Monday, May 25th), and running through Labor Day, (Monday, September 7), we will close early.
Our hours will be Monday-Saturday, 9:30-4:00.

Mid-Summer also means “HALIBUT SALE!” You know, just for the “halibut”.
So mark your calendars for Saturday, July 18 and come in and fish for some bargains. Retail fabric will be 25% off, and we will be in our beach party best.
Our good friend Karen Housner is coming in August for two days of AQS certified quilt appraisals. Call early to reserve your spot(s). And remember, it’s not just antique quilts that deserve an appraisal.

We all tend to underestimate the value of our own work. You’d be surprised to learn what your quilts are worth. (Perhaps your significant other wouldn’t?)
Shop Hop 2009, “The Great Fabric Roundup”, was a great success. We hope everyone who participated had as much fun as we, the Cactus Quilt Shop staff, did. And Congratulations Pardners!
